I’m DB Green, an author writing urban fantasy and mystery stories set within a shared narrative world known as the AffinityVerse.

My work blends modern settings with hidden magic, long-running mysteries, and character-driven storytelling—often unfolding over time through serialized fiction as well as collected and novel-length editions. I’m particularly drawn to stories that reward attention, where details matter and consequences echo beyond a single chapter.

I live in Yorkshire, England, with my wife, our two children, and four cats. As a family, we love to travel—especially to Florida—where our shared enthusiasm for theme parks has become something of a running tradition.

Alongside urban fantasy, I’m a lifelong science fiction fan, with a particular love for Doctor Who. Ever since first hearing the distinctive wheezing and groaning of the TARDIS as a child, the Doctor’s boundless curiosity and sense of wonder have been a lasting influence on how I think about stories, worlds, and time itself. That influence occasionally finds its way into my work, sometimes subtly, sometimes not.

Much of my current fiction is published as ongoing serialized stories through The Affinity Web Chronicles on Substack, where readers can follow new chapters as they’re released and explore the wider world of the AffinityVerse as it unfolds.

Whether through weekly installments or completed novels, every story I write is part of a larger, evolving whole—designed to draw readers in and keep them guessing. These stories are meant to linger long after the final page.
